FAQs for Fleet & Property Managers

What EV charging solutions does Morek offer for commercial, fleet, and property use?

Morek EV Charging supplies a complete range of electric vehicle charging infrastructure for commercial, fleet, hospitality, retail, and property applications across Europe. The Morek EVC range includes:

AC wall box chargers — up to 22kW, suitable for workplace, fleet depot, hotel, and residential charging
DC fast chargers — up to 180kW, suitable for public charging, retail parks, logistics depots, and commercial car parks
Smart charging management — load management, scheduling, energy monitoring, and grid integration
EV charging accessories — cables, adapters, and installation components

Morek EV charging solutions are available in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, and Portugal.

How many EV chargers do I need and what power output is right for my site?

The number of EV chargers and the required power output depend on four key factors: fleet size or expected daily vehicle throughput, average dwell time per vehicle, available grid connection capacity, and peak demand patterns across the day.

As a general guide:

Workplace or fleet depot charging — typically 7kW to 22kW AC per parking space, with smart load management to stay within grid capacity
Public or commercial fast charging — typically 50kW to 180kW DC per charger, depending on target dwell time and throughput
Mixed-use sites — a combination of AC destination charging and DC fast charging, sized to the site’s usage profile

Morek provides a free EV charging site assessment and needs analysis for commercial projects. Our technical team will size your installation to avoid under-specifying (insufficient overnight charge) and over-specifying (unnecessary capital expenditure).

Can Morek manage the full EV charging project including supply, installation, and commissioning?

Yes. Morek EV Charging offers full project management for commercial EV charging installations — covering hardware supply, coordination with certified installation partners, commissioning, and ongoing after-sales support. Morek works with a certified network of electrical installation contractors across all six of its European markets.

For customers with an existing electrical contractor, Morek can supply hardware only. For customers who require a turnkey solution, Morek coordinates the complete project. All installations are carried out to local market electrical safety standards and relevant EV charging regulations.

Are Morek EV chargers compatible with all electric vehicle brands?

Yes. Morek EV chargers are compatible with all major electric vehicle brands available in Europe. Morek AC chargers use the Type 2 (IEC 62196) connector standard, which is the mandatory connector standard for all new electric vehicles sold in the European Union. Morek DC fast chargers support CCS (Combined Charging System) and CHAdeMO protocols, covering all current DC-capable EVs on the European market.

Morek EV charging solutions also support OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) for integration with third-party charge point management systems, enabling remote monitoring, access control, and energy reporting.

What public funding and grants are available for commercial EV charging installation in Europe?

Significant public funding is available for commercial EV charging infrastructure across Morek’s markets in 2025. Key funding sources include:

EU AFIR (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation) — mandates public charging deployment and supports infrastructure investment across all EU member states
EU Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) — funding for cross-border EV charging infrastructure along TEN-T corridors
National programmes — Poland KPO, French ADVENIR programme, Portuguese Fundo Ambiental, Baltic national EV incentive schemes
Local authority and regional grants — available in many municipalities across CEE and Western Europe

Eligibility, grant amounts, and application deadlines vary by country and project type. Morek’s team maintains up-to-date knowledge of available funding in each of its six markets and can guide commercial customers through the application process.

How does Morek support commercial EV charging customers after installation?

Morek provides structured after-sales support for all commercial EV charging installations, including remote system monitoring, maintenance coordination through certified service partners, firmware update management, and a dedicated account contact for all support queries.

For fleet and commercial property customers, Morek offers quarterly performance reviews — assessing charger uptime, energy consumption data, and usage patterns — and proactive capacity planning for future infrastructure expansion. Morek commits to responding to all support requests within 24 hours on business days.

FAQs for Installers & Electrical Contractors

What qualifications do I need to install Morek EV chargers?

EV charger installation qualification requirements vary by country. In general, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician holding a relevant EV charging installation certification recognised in the country of installation. Market-specific requirements include:

Poland — SEP electrical qualifications with EV charging endorsement
Czech Republic / Slovakia — Qualified electrician per ČSN EN 61851 standard
France — IRVE (Infrastructure de Recharge pour Véhicules Électriques) certification, mandatory since 2017
Portugal — Qualified electrician registered with DGEG
Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) — National electrician certification with EV charging competency

Morek’s technical team can confirm the specific certification requirements for your market and provide product documentation to support your compliance process.

Does Morek provide technical installation documentation for EV charging contractors?

Yes. Every Morek EV charging product is supplied with full technical installation documentation including wiring diagrams, commissioning checklists, load management configuration guides, and troubleshooting references. Documentation is available in English, Polish, Czech, French, and Portuguese.

Morek also publishes EV charger installation walkthrough videos on the Morek YouTube channel covering common installation scenarios. Morek’s technical team responds to contractor installation queries within 24 hours on business days.

Can electrical contractors order Morek EV chargers directly or through a distributor?

Morek EV charging products are available through two channels. For standard stocking products, order through your nearest Morek authorised distributor — use the distributor locator on morek.eu to find stockists in your country. For project orders of 5 units or more, contact Morek directly for project pricing, lead time confirmation, and delivery coordination.

Morek EV chargers are stocked by authorised distributors in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, and Portugal.

Does Morek offer EV charging installation training for electrical contractors?

Yes. Morek runs structured EV charging product training for electrical contractors in all six of its European markets. Training is available in online and in-person formats and covers product installation procedures, commissioning and configuration, load management setup, troubleshooting, and local market regulatory compliance.

Contractors who complete Morek EV charging training receive access to the Morek contractor support portal, priority technical assistance, and eligibility for Morek’s certified installer network — which connects trained contractors with commercial project opportunities in their region.

FAQs for Distributors & Wholesalers

Can I distribute both Morek electrical components and EV charging products through one partnership?

Yes — and Morek actively encourages combined EC and EVC distribution. Morek is one of the very few professional electrical suppliers offering both electrical connection components and EV charging hardware through a single distribution partnership.

Combined EC and EVC distribution allows wholesalers to offer electrical contractors and project developers a more complete supply solution, increase average order value, and consolidate customers who currently source EC and EVC from separate suppliers. Morek’s combined partnership structure means one commercial agreement, one account manager, and one co-marketing programme covering both product lines.

What marketing support does Morek provide for EV charging distribution partners?

Morek EV charging distribution partners receive a structured co-branded marketing support package including campaign materials in local market languages, digital assets for use on partner websites and social media, access to Morek’s reference project library for use in customer proposals and tender responses, and joint webinar opportunities co-hosted with Morek’s technical team.

Partners at Morek’s Elite distribution tier receive dedicated co-marketing budget allocation, joint quarterly campaign planning, and co-branded event support for trade shows and customer events.

What are Morek's EV charger delivery lead times for distribution partners?

Standard Morek EV charging delivery lead times for distribution partners are as follows:

AC wall box chargers (up to 22kW) — 5 to 10 business days from confirmed order for standard stocking models
DC fast chargers (up to 180kW) — 3 to 6 weeks from confirmed order, depending on model and configuration

For distribution partners with agreed stocking programmes, Morek works to maintain minimum stock levels and provides forward demand planning to support project pipeline management. To discuss stocking arrangements and lead time commitments for your market, contact your Morek account manager.
